This site is dedicated to the professional users and is constantly evolving and updating. To get the most out of adoc-photos website, including access to our search tools, you must first register for a new account. This only takes a few moments and will then allow you to use the photographic search engine and lightboxes.

Identification (creating your account)

In order to register on our site, click on "create an account" in the "Identification" menu, after having read our general terms and conditions and clicked the box marked "by registering I accept the general terms and conditions". You will have to fill in a form with some mandatory fields: the information provided will remain strictly confidential. On the form, you will be asked to enter a login (your surname or your e-mail address, for example) that, with a password, you will have to enter each time you connect.

In order to access your account, click on the "Identification" menu and fill in the fields: login and password. You will find your orders and selections recorded in the menu "My Account".

Search and advanced search

Simple search searches using isolated words, phrases (natural language).

You can make advanced searches and zoom (but you have to be registered first). You may include different keywords within any one search and search for images taken during specific date range. If you know the adoc-photos image number for a specific image, you may enter its number for direct access.

The captions appear in a contextual window when the mouse is moved over the images.

Lightboxes

You can add to and remove images from lightboxes. An image can be included in the lightbox by clicking on the corresponding icon. If the image has been added to your option, the colour of the icon changes. You can consult the content of your lightbox by clicking on "Lightbox" at the bottom of the page. The content of the lightbox can be sent to any e-mail address.

Basket

You can order by putting the images you have chosen in the basket. When you receive an e-mail informing you that the ordered image is ready to be downloaded, click on the link to the image and follow the instructions for downloading the image that appears on the screen. At the time the image is downloaded, a message will ask you where to register the image. All the high definition downloadable scans are slightly compressed jpegs. The information is in the IPTC fields accessible in Photoshop and other compatible image software.
